The Zero Residual™ concept ensures precise dosing and control throughout the procedure, prioritizing safety. It allows users to prefill syringes air-free and eliminates the risk of silicone oil contamination, offering a silicone oil-free preparation. With a low residual volume, it maximizes medication use and reduces waste.

Currently, ophthalmologists use Zero Residual™ primarily for anti-VEGF injections to treat wet-AMD, DME, and related ocular diseases. Ongoing discussions with healthcare professionals aim to further enhance the concept.

Syringe Cap

The Zero Residual™ Luer Lock cap allows the user to prefill the Zero Residual™ syringes air-free. The design, including threading, allows for a firm and proper seal, ensuring the closure-integrity of the prefilled syringe. This eliminates the risk that comes with flicking to remove air bubbles prior to injection.

Most ordinary caps do not allow air-free prefilling, admitting the risk of migrating air bubbles. When air bubbles migrate into the syringe after being prefilled and stored, they can lead to adverse  situations when the syringe is being used at point of care.
