Bubble adapter
The innovative Zero Residual™ Bubble Adapter is a unique product that offers many advantages to our users. The adapter provides a solution to a common problem that many healthcare professionals experience on a daily basis: the inability to prefill syringes air-free while using a filter needle. It also reduces the risk of introducing silicone oil and other particles into the medicine. The adapter allows accurate, efficient and safe conditions to prefill the Zero Residual™ syringes. Its design allows air-free prefilling, which reduces the need for flicking and the risk of agitation significantly. This feature, in combination with the adapter being silicone- and particle-free, ultimately leads to a safer injection. The Zero Residual™ silicone oil-free 5µm filter needle can be placed onto the bubble adapter to complete the silicone oil-free trail from vial to eye.
How to use it
Our Zero Residual™ Bubble Adapter makes air-free filling as easy as it gets. Just follow these steps:
- Connect our silicone oil-free filter needle
- Connect a large-volume syringe
- Extract the medicine from the vial
- Disconnect the large syringe
- Connect a Zero Residual™ syringe
- Prefill the syringe air-free from the Bubble Adapter
Safely handling medicine
The ability to safely transfer medicine from a vial into a syringe is an important requirement for our customers. As filter needles are common practice for the withdrawal of medicines from vials, air bubbles are frequent issues. According to a recent study, flicking a syringe in order to remove air bubbles can lead to undesirable side-effects. Additionally, surface tension and medications with higher viscosities can make it nearly impossible to fill a syringe without introducing air bubbles. SJJ Solutions has tackled these problems with the development of the Zero Residual™ Bubble Adapter. The adapter eliminates the risks associated with withdrawal and prefilling of medicines thanks to its unique design and features.

A dedicated Zero Residual™ Bubble Adapter holder, made of stainless steel, is available to safely store and rest the adapter.
The Zero Residual™ bubble adapter is currently available in 1 size. More sizes will become available in 2023. Dedicated sizes are made on request.
